ADP enables SuperStream compliance, at a gold standard.

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – 19 August, 2015 – ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today is announcing a second SuperStream product with gold certification by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Now clients of ADP Australia can easily become SuperStream compliant by using either the ADP Payforce payroll system or ADP’s money movement solution, Electronic Payment Services (EPS) and be confident in knowing both solutions are gold certified.
Companies of all sizes looking for a SuperStream solution can now rely on ADP, the largest payroll outsourcer in Australia*, to manage employee superannuation contributions and be SuperStream compliant by the required date of November 3rd 2015.
Susan Heron, Managing Director ADP Australia & New Zealand, commented on the complexity that business have to deal with in order to comply with these new superannuation payment standards. SuperStream requires businesses to transmit data in an XBRL file format, making it complex to comply. Using payroll software from an accredited payroll provider, such as ADP, is one solution. In addition to this Ms Heron notes that ADP can still help businesses comply even if they are not using ADP’s payroll solutions.
“Businesses need simple solutions in order to comply with this new superannuation payments standard. We are pleased to be able to offer a choice to businesses via either our payroll software or EPS money movement solutions. We understand that businesses run a variety of operations and we are pleased to now be able to offer different solutions to match their needs – from full outsource options to money movement only”.
Superannuation payments are significant at $102 billion from $609 billion of wages^. Businesses are strictly monitored for their superannuation payment compliance and fines are enforced - $395 million in superannuation guarantee charges for the year to June 2014^. “Keeping up with compliance and processing payroll and all that comes with it, is increasingly complicated for employers. We see that more and more businesses are turning to outsource providers to help them navigate their obligations, with 29% now outsourcing up from 25%*” she added “With the compliance date of November 3rd rapidly approaching, it’s time for businesses to act and find a SuperStream solution.”
SuperStream is one part of ATO’s efficiency programs. We continue to engage with the ATO on payroll and associated legislation and are pleased to be able to offer to our clients our expertise and insight. We are also proud of our ability to take the voice of our clients to the Government. In doing so we have been able to provide to our customers multiple compliance options, at a gold standard. We remain committed to this level of service to businesses of all sizes.”
